“Detailing” is an English word that means “cleaning”. In France, we talk about detailing as opposed to standard cleanings that every motorist can do at home or at a car wash. More advanced, this car cleaning is closer to restoration. At AGM Vision, we push detailing all the way to polishing and protection. Auto detailing product: different vehicle washing steps

Exterior wash

This phase concerns the entire exterior of the vehicle. Each part of a car is different and therefore requires a different technique and different products. From the rims to the bodywork, including exterior plastics, not forgetting the windows and lights, the wash must be meticulous, with specific detailing products. We start with the pre-wash, then we shampoo the entire bodywork.

Degreaser and decontaminant

Contamination of bodywork concerns all stubborn stains: tar, brake dust, insects, tree sap, etc. Decontaminating means removing all the tough stains that didn’t come off during washing. We use special products capable of erasing any stain and protecting the bodywork.

Shine and protection

At AGM Vision, we know light. If our LED bulbs light up your vehicles, we also rely on natural light, which highlights the design and style of your cars. In addition to seeking the shine of new, we protect it with detailing products that help keep the shine in the medium term.

Hand drying

In the world of detailing, we use products to speed up water evacuation (After Wash), as well as specific, high-density microfiber cloths, to absorb as much water as possible in a minimum amount of time. We go around the vehicle by hand; the intervention must be brief, sheltered from the sun’s rays, to minimize the risk of dried water marks.

Interior washing and care

The interior of your car deserves just as much care. Made up of different surfaces, it needs to be treated with several detailing products. The idea is to be meticulous and to go into the smallest corners.

• Chemical Guys Honeydew Snow Foam for pre-wash. Its balanced pH and foam allow a touchless wash using a gun or a foam cannon. It is then possible to use a wash mitt that glides over the foam and will remove all traces.
• The HydroSuds ceramic shampoo for a hydrophobic wash that limits the risk of micro-scratches. It’s ideal for cleaning safely.
• For headlights, which we pamper especially, we use the Headlight Restorer for our customers. In addition to restoring the headlights, it protects them from UVB.

After the Californians, we were amazed by a Russian brand, Shiny Garage. It offers a range of very high-performance car wash products, which amuse us a lot during our detailing sessions, notably the colored shampoos that produce a thick foam of blue, pink, or yellow color!
