A polishing pad is a foam or wool disc that attaches to an orbital polisher. It is used to apply compound or polish to the bodywork in order to correct paint defects, remove micro-scratches, and restore shine. See our polishing pads.

Polishing pads come in several hardness levels: hard (cutting) for major corrections, medium for light defects, and soft (finishing) for finishing and wax application. Choose the hardness according to the level of correction needed.

Clean your pads after each use with the Pad Conditioner Chemical Guys. During polishing, regularly brush the pad with a dedicated brush to remove accumulated compound residue.

To polish a complete car, plan for at least 3 to 4 polishing pads: one pad per type of product (compound, polish, finishing) and one spare pad. Change pads when it is saturated with product in order to maintain optimal efficiency.

Yes, our polishing pads are washable and reusable many times. Wash them by hand or in the washing machine, at a low temperature, without fabric softener. Replace them when they lose their texture or start to break down. Check out our full range.
