Instructions for use of Chemical Guys exterior detailing brushes
These brushes are used dry for dusting or wet with your usual cleaner. In both cases, work on a surface that has already been rinsed so as not to drag abrasive particles over the clear coat.
Cleaning wheels and brake calipers
- Rinse the wheel with clean water to remove loose brake dust.
- Apply a wheel cleaner and let it work according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Use the small brush on the wheel nuts, thin spokes, and around the caliper.
- Rinse thoroughly before the product dries.
Grilles, badges and door seals
- First wash the bodywork with a wash mitt and shampoo.
- Load the appropriate brush with foam and dislodge dirt around the badges and in the grille.
- Open the doors and use the medium brush in the seals and hinges.
- Rinse the area, then dry with a microfiber cloth.
Dry dusting between washes
- Check that the surface is clean and cool.
- Run the dry brush over the grille contours, air vents, and badge outlines to remove dry dust.
Precautions
Never use a brush loaded with brake dust on the paint: dedicate one brush to the wheels and keep the others for the bodywork. Rinse the bristles after each use and let them dry, bristles facing down. Avoid pressing hard on a clear coat that is hot or exposed to direct sunlight.
