Total Wheel Cleaner FullCarX is an alkaline cleaner formulated to treat, in a single operation, the rim and the tire. It combines a high proportion of ferrous cleaning agent, a powerful degreaser and a finishing sealant, making it intended for motorists as well as washing professionals who want to reduce the number of passes on each wheel.
What the formula does
- Ferrous decontamination : the formula contains a significant amount of ferrous cleaning agent, which attacks brake dust deposited on the rim.
- Degreasing : the alkaline base lifts grease and road residues accumulated on the rim as well as on the tire sidewall.
- Finishing sealant : a sealant combined with a gloss agent lays down a protective layer capable of repelling dirt and prolonging the clean look between two washes.
Which wheels to use it on
The product is intended for complete cleaning of car rims and tires. Its alkaline nature makes it unsuitable for chrome rims, anodized surfaces and delicate parts: on these substrates, opt for the Iron Cleaner FullCarX ferrous decontaminant. It must also not be applied to motorcycle tires.
Why a two-in-one cleaner
Treating the rim and then the tire separately requires two products, two dwell times and two rinses. Total Wheel Cleaner combines both functions in a single spray bottle, which shortens the wheel-washing routine. For more routine maintenance, limited to the rim, the Wheel Cleaner FullCarX rim cleaner is a simpler alternative.

The effectiveness of this cleaner relies on a short dwell time. The formula works as soon as it is sprayed and must never remain on the surface for long: work wheel by wheel rather than treating all four at the same time, and keep the hose within reach to rinse without waiting.
Routine cleaning of a wheel
- Rinse the wheel with water to remove non-adhering dust.
- Spray the product until the entire surface of the rim and tire is covered.
- Let it work for 20 seconds.
- Rinse thoroughly with water, preferably under pressure.
Very dirty wheels
- Spray the product over the entire rim and the tire sidewall.
- Use a rim brush, then a tire brush during the dwell time, to loosen deposits.
- Rinse with a pressure hose, without exceeding one minute of contact.
- Repeat the operation if necessary, rather than extending the dwell time.
Good to know
Wheel cleaning is done before washing the bodywork, so that product splashes and loosened deposits are removed by the subsequent rinse. Also reserve a brush and a bucket for wheels only: the brake dust they retain would scratch the paint if the same equipment were then used on the panels.
Precautions
- Never exceed one minute of exposure of the product on the surface.
- Do not apply the product to chrome rims, anodized surfaces, or delicate parts.
- Do not use this cleaner on motorcycle tires.
- Rinse the entire wheel thoroughly, including the inside of the rim, before moving on to the next one.
