The D-CON Glue and Label Remover is a tar remover and adhesive remover intended for bodywork and glazing. It dissolves tar, glue, label residues and resin in around sixty seconds, where a standard shampoo has no effect. It is aimed both at private individuals preparing their car before polishing and at professionals removing an advertising adhesive or leftover wrapping.

A concentrated formula

Instructions for use of the tar remover adhesive remover D-CON Chemical Guys

D-CON is used on a cool bodywork and in the shade, on a surface previously rinsed. The dwell time is short: the product must remain wet while it works.

Remove tar or glue

Rinse the area to remove dust and sand.
Spray a light mist of D-CON directly onto the stain.
Leave to act for about sixty seconds, without letting it dry.
Wipe with a clean microfiber cloth, if possible warm, or rinse with a high-pressure jet.
Repeat the operation on the most stubborn deposits.

Remove a label or a sticker

Spray the product on the adhesive and on its edges.
Wait for the glue to soften, then peel off the label by hand.
Spray again on the residual glue, then wipe with a microfiber cloth.

After the treatment

Wash the vehicle with shampoo, according to the two-bucket method.
Dry with a microfiber cloth.
Reapply a wax or a protection: a release solvent also removes the protection present on the area.

Precautions

Test the product on an inconspicuous area before treatment, do not let it dry in the sun and watch rubbers and unpainted plastics. Rinse off splashes, work in a ventilated place and wear gloves.
