A volume designed for the two-bucket method

The two-bucket method consists of separating the wash-solution bucket from the mitt-rinse bucket. Dirt pulled from the bodywork stays at the bottom of the rinse bucket instead of going back onto the paint. Prepare the two-bucket wash

Fill the red bucket with water and measure the shampoo according to the dilution indicated by the product manufacturer.
Fill the second bucket with clean water: it will be used only to rinse the mitt.
Rinse the car with a hose to remove the largest dust particles before any contact.

Wash the bodywork

Dip the mitt into the red bucket and wash one panel at a time, from top to bottom.
Rinse the mitt in the clean-water bucket by rubbing it on the bottom grid.
Wring it out, dip it again in the red bucket, then move on to the next panel.
Finish with the dirtiest areas: rocker panels, bumpers, and wheel wells.

Maintenance and storage

Empty both buckets as soon as the wash is finished, without letting dirty water sit at the bottom.
Rinse the inside with clean water, remove the grid, and let the bucket dry upside down.
Close with the Chemical Guys lid to store the mitt, microfiber towels, and bottles inside.

Precautions

Do not use the bucket as a seat or as a step stool without its lid. Keep it protected from frost and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which wear out the plastic.
