FullCarX rim and tire brush: a scratch-free wheel wash
The FullCarX wheel and tire brush is a washing accessory dedicated to wheels, the most exposed area of the car. It combines high-density soft bristles and a rigid polypropylene handle to loosen dirt from rims and tire sidewalls without damaging finishes.
Soft bristles to preserve finishes
Rims constantly receive brake dust, road spray, and residues from maintenance products. The soft, tapered bristles of this brush work into the recesses of the rim design while limiting the risk of micro-scratches on clear coats, paints, and polished finishes. The high density of the bristle fill helps retain foam during brushing, which maintains a lubricating film between the bristles and the surface.
A rigid and ergonomic handle
- Hard polypropylene body that keeps its shape under brushing pressure
- Ergonomic grip designed for prolonged washing sessions
- High-density bristle fill that distributes effort across the entire scrubbed surface
- Washable and reusable accessory, to be rinsed after each use
Two uses on the same wheel
The brush is first used to clean the rim and tire, alongside a dedicated cleaner such as the Wheel Cleaner FullCarX or the Total Wheel Cleaner. FullCarX indicates that it can also be used to spread a tire dressing such as Total Black: in this case, set aside one brush for this use so as not to mix appearance product and wash dirt.
For what type of wheels
This format is suitable for clear-coated alloy rims, painted rims, and hubcaps, as well as tire sidewalls. It is a common washing tool, to be used in addition to a thin brush for wheel wells and a dedicated mitt for the bodywork. As with any wheel accessory, it remains reserved for wheels and must never be used on the vehicle’s paint, because brake particles retained in the bristles would cause marks.
Instructions for use of the FullCarX wheel rims and tires brush
Wheel washing is always done first, before the bodywork, and wheel by wheel, to prevent the product from drying on a hot rim.
Routine wheel rim cleaning
- Wait until the rims are cold and work in the shade.
- Rinse the wheel thoroughly to remove sand and small stones.
- Spray a rim cleaner such as Wheel Cleaner FullCarX and let it work for the time indicated by the manufacturer.
- Brush the visible face, then the inside of the rim, with the dampened brush, without forcing.
- Rinse with plenty of water, then move on to the next wheel.
Dirty tire sidewalls
- Apply the cleaner to the sidewall and let it work for a few moments.
- Brush the rubber in circular motions until the brown foam rises.
- Rinse, dry the sidewall, then apply, if necessary, a restorer such as Total Black.
Precautions and maintenance
- Never use this brush on the bodywork or on a scorching rim.
- Rinse the brush between each wheel to remove abrasive particles trapped in the bristles.
- Wash the brush with clean water at the end of the session, wring it out and let it dry, bristles facing down.
- For embedded ferrous deposits, supplement mechanical washing with a decontaminant such as Iron Cleaner FullCarX.
