Liquid wax and sealant Extreme Top Coat Chemical Guys: shine and protection in one step
Chemical Guys Extreme Top Coat is a liquid wax and a synthetic sealant combined in a single bottle. It is aimed at motorists who want to hide minor clear coat defects, bring out the depth of the paint, and protect the bodywork without chaining several steps.
A wax and a sealant combined
The formula combines natural Brazilian carnauba wax, appreciated for its warm shine, with a synthetic sealant known for its durability. The result is a single treatment that provides both the gloss of a paste wax and the staying power of a synthetic protection, on light paint as well as on dark paint.
What Extreme Top Coat does
- Hides micro-scratches and light swirls like a glaze
- Revives the depth and luster of the paint, whatever its color
- Protects the bodywork for up to a year against dirt, brake dust, insect residue, tree sap, and water spots
- Applies in a single step, by hand or with a foam applicator
Which surfaces to use it on
Extreme Top Coat is intended for painted and glossy exterior surfaces. It is suitable for cars, vans, SUVs, motorcycles, and motorhomes. On dark paints, it visually reduces the finest defects while giving a deep finish.
Where it fits in a maintenance routine
This wax is used as a finishing step, once the bodywork has been washed with a car shampoo, then decontaminated if needed with a clay bar. It replaces the sequence of glaze, wax, and sealant with a single pass, which significantly reduces working time during seasonal maintenance.
Capacity
473 ml bottle, enough to treat several vehicles in a thin coat.
Instructions for use of Extreme Top Coat Wax Chemical Guys
Extreme Top Coat is applied like a classic liquid wax. Preparing the bodywork matters just as much as the application: the cleaner and more decontaminated the paint is, the better the protection adheres.
Prepare the bodywork
- Wash the vehicle with a car shampoo to remove dust and dirt.
- Decontaminate the paint with a clay bar if it still feels rough to the touch.
- Rinse, then dry the bodywork completely.
- Work in the shade, on a surface that is cool to the touch.
Apply the wax
- Shake the bottle before use.
- Apply the product to a foam or microfiber applicator.
- Spread a thin, even coat, panel by panel.
- Let dry for about 20 minutes.
- Buff with a clean, dry microfiber until the marks disappear.
Good to know
- A thin coat is easier to remove than a thick coat and protects just as well.
- Change to a new side of the microfiber as soon as it becomes loaded with product.
- Avoid prolonged contact with unpainted plastics and rubber seals.
- Keep the bottle closed, protected from freezing and high heat.
