Tar Remover Tar Cleaner FullCarX: tar and glue residues dissolved without rubbing
The Tar Cleaner FullCarX is a ready-to-use tar remover, designed to dissolve tar stains produced by asphalt or by external agents, as well as glue residues left after removing an adhesive. It is aimed both at the motorist who finds black spots on their rocker panels after a trip on newly laid asphalt and at the detailer who decontaminates a bodywork before polishing or applying a protection.
What the Tar Cleaner FullCarX removes
- Tar stains from asphalt and road spray
- Sticky dirt deposited by external agents
- Glue residues that remain after peeling off an adhesive, a sticker, or a double-sided tape
Why a product dedicated to tar
Tar is a bituminous binder: it does not dilute in water and resists shampooing. A classic wash only polishes the surface of the stain, which remains embedded in the clear coat film. The Tar Cleaner works by dissolving the binder, which makes it possible to remove the deposit by wiping rather than rubbing, and therefore to limit the risk of micro-scratches on the paint.
On which surfaces to use it
- Bodywork : rocker panels, lower doors, front and rear bumpers, areas most exposed to spray
- Wheels : after a first pass of Iron Cleaner FullCarX ferrous decontaminant, which treats metallic particles upstream
- Adhesive areas : locations of old stickers, advertising plates, or mounting strips
When to integrate it into a wash
The tar remover is used between washing and finishing. First wash the vehicle to remove dust and mud, for example with Snow Foam FullCarX, then treat the remaining stains with the Tar Cleaner, rinse, and follow up with polishing or protection. On a vehicle that is already clean, a targeted application on the stained areas only is sufficient.
Sizes offered by FullCarX
The Tar Cleaner is available in a 750 ml bottle, as well as in professional formats of 5 L and 25 L. The 750 ml, sold here, corresponds to regular personal use or occasional use in a workshop.
Instructions for use of the Tar Cleaner FullCarX tar remover
FullCarX Tar Cleaner is used pure, without dilution, by direct spraying onto the stained area. FullCarX recommends applying it to a dry, cool surface sheltered from the sun, then rinsing thoroughly. The protocol varies slightly depending on the treated surface.
On the bodywork
- Wash the vehicle and let the area to be treated dry.
- Spray the product onto the tar stain and let it act.
- Wipe with a clean microfiber, without pressing.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Repeat the operation if the stain persists.
On the rims
- First treat the rims with a ferrous decontaminant such as Iron Cleaner FullCarX.
- Then spray the Tar Cleaner onto the remaining tar deposits and let it act.
- Wipe with the microfiber, then rinse with plenty of water.
To remove an adhesive residue
- Spray the product onto the adhesive residue and let the binder soften.
- Wipe with a microfiber, renewing the application if the glue is thick.
- Rinse the area, then wash it to remove any residual film.
Precautions
- Never apply the product to a hot surface or one exposed to the sun.
- Always test the product on an inconspicuous area before use.
- Be extra cautious on single-component paints, which are more sensitive to solvents.
- Rinse thoroughly after action and do not let the product dry on the surface.
