Instructions for use of the smoked black wash bucket Chemical Guys
A detailing bucket only protects the paint if it is used as a pair and filled in the right order. Here is the procedure to follow on a daily basis.
Two-bucket wash
- Place the Cyclone Dirt Trap grid at the bottom of both buckets.
- Fill the smoked black bucket with clean water: this will be the glove rinse bucket.
- Fill the second bucket with water and shampoo, following the dilution indicated on the bottle.
- Rinse the car, then wash panel by panel, from top to bottom.
- Between each panel, wring out the glove on the grid of the rinse bucket before reloading it with shampoo.
Use as a seat
- Empty the bucket and place it on a flat, stable surface.
- Clip on the Chemical Guys lid before sitting down.
- Work on the wheels, the rocker panels and the bumpers this way without staying squatted.
Good to know
Empty and rinse the bucket after each wash: the dried shampoo film traps dust and becomes abrasive at the next wash. Avoid leaving the bucket full in the sun and do not store aggressive solvents in it. Dedicated to a single function (rinsing or shampoo), a bucket avoids confusion and extends the life of the glove.
