It is aimed at motorists who don’t have access to a water point, those who want to maintain a lightly dirty vehicle between two full washes, and those who are looking to maintain an existing ceramic protection already in place.
A hybrid cleaning and ceramic formula
HydroGlide combines cleaning agents that lift and encapsulate dirt with an infusion of nano SiO2. Dust and grime particles are coated, then picked up by the microfiber instead of being dragged across the clear coat. The SiO2, for its part, leaves a hydrophobic film that makes water bead and repels dirt and contaminants, which keeps the car clean longer.

When to use it

HydroGlide then takes over for routine maintenance, between two full washes.

Three ways to use it
As a complete waterless wash : on a lightly dirty vehicle, HydroGlide replaces bucket washing and leaves a hydrophobic protection. As a finishing spray : after a traditional wash, it revives shine and restores the beading effect across the entire vehicle. As spot cleaning : it removes a fingerprint, fresh bird droppings, or a run, without having to take out the washing equipment again.
With or without ceramic coating
The formula is suitable for both scenarios. On an untreated vehicle, it provides a first layer of SiO2 protection. On a vehicle that is already protected, it maintains the coating and helps extend its lifespan, just like a HydroCharge Chemical Guys ceramic spray used for periodic maintenance.
The equipment that goes with it
Plan on at least two clean microfiber cloths: one to remove dirt, a second for the final buffing. A Chemical Guys buffing microfiber with short fibers is perfectly suited to the second step.
Ceramic waterless wash instructions HydroGlide Chemical Guys
HydroGlide is used undiluted, directly with the sprayer. The operating method below follows the official Chemical Guys instructions: work in small areas, let the product work, then wipe and buff with a microfiber.
Waterless vehicle wash
- Place the car in the shade and wait until the bodywork is cool.
- Spray HydroGlide directly onto an area of about 60 x 60 cm.
- Let it work for a few moments, so that the cleaning agents loosen and encapsulate the dirt.
- Wipe with a clean microfiber, without pressing.
- Wait 10 to 15 seconds after this first pass to let the product reduce imperfections.
- Buff with a second clean microfiber until you get a glossy finish.
- Repeat the operation, area by area, until the entire vehicle is treated.
Spot cleaning and finishing
- Spray onto the mark to be treated or onto the panel to refresh after a classic wash.
- Wipe with a clean microfiber.
- Finish by buffing with a dry microfiber.
Precautions
Never apply the product in direct sunlight or on a hot surface: the result would be uneven. Change microfiber as soon as it is loaded with dirt and do not put it back on the ground. On a very dirty vehicle, with mud or sand, perform a traditional wash before using HydroGlide.
