Instructions for use of the HydroView Chemical Guys ceramic glass cleaner
HydroView is applied in a few minutes, on cold glass and out of direct sunlight. The method changes slightly depending on whether you are treating the outside or the inside of the glass.
Prepare the glass
Start with glass cleared of the worst: a rinse with water removes sand and abrasive residues that could scratch the surface during wiping. On a very dirty windshield, a first pass with Streak Free glass cleaner allows you to reserve HydroView for finishing and applying the protection. Plan on two clean microfiber cloths: one for cleaning, the other for buffing.
On exterior glass
- Shake the bottle well before each use.
- Spray 1 to 3 pumps directly onto the glass.
- Wipe with a clean microfiber cloth to remove dirt and dust.
- Flip the microfiber cloth to a clean side, or take a second microfiber cloth, then buff until you get perfect clarity.
On interior glass
- Shake the bottle.
- Spray 1 to 3 pumps onto the microfiber cloth rather than directly onto the glass, to avoid splatter on the dashboard.
- Wipe the surface, then buff with a clean side or a second microfiber cloth.
Precautions
- On an aftermarket tinted film, first test the product on a small, less visible area.
- Work glass by glass so as not to let the product dry on the surface.
- Use clean microfiber cloths: a microfiber cloth loaded with dirt leaves streaks.
- The product contains formaldehyde and methanol. Keep it out of reach of children and ventilate the cabin during interior application.
Reapply as soon as the water beading weakens on the windshield.
