Chemical Guys interior detailing brushes: clean every nook and cranny of the cabin

The All In The Details interior detailing brushes from Chemical Guys come as a set of three brushes in different sizes, designed for the tight areas of a cabin. Air vents, center console, button edges, or trim junctions: these are precisely the places that microfiber alone can’t manage to clean. The set is aimed both at the careful private individual and at the detailing professional looking for a precise finishing tool.

Boar and synthetic bristles

Each brush combines boar bristles and synthetic fibers. This blend is firm enough to loosen embedded dirt, while remaining flexible enough not to scratch or mark sensitive interior surfaces. It’s the compromise sought in a cabin, where glossy plastic and screens show marks at the slightest excess.

Three sizes to cover the entire cabin

The set brings together three different formats, which makes it possible to adapt the tool to the area being treated rather than forcing with a brush that’s too wide or too thin. The areas usually concerned are as follows:

  • Air vents and ventilation diffusers
  • Center console, cup holders, and storage bins
  • Button edges, dials, and controls
  • Trim junctions and upholstery seams
  • Seat rails and hard-to-reach gaps

A lightweight plastic handle

The handles are made of quality plastic, a choice that keeps the brushes light and easy to handle during long cleaning sessions, and that ensures them a good service life. The reduced weight really matters when you have to work with your arm outstretched under a dashboard.

Compatible surfaces

Chemical Guys indicates use on vinyl, plastic, and rubber. The brushes are used dry for dusting, or damp to scrub an area previously treated with an interior cleaner. They therefore pair just as well with a simple vacuum pass as with a complete restoration of the cabin.

Instructions for use of Chemical Guys interior detailing brushes

These brushes can be used in two ways depending on the condition of the interior: dry for simple dusting, or with an interior cleaner when dirt is embedded. In both cases, vacuuming remains the first step.

Dry dusting

  1. First vacuum up loose debris on the mats, seats, and console.
  2. Choose the brush whose size matches the area to be treated.
  3. Run the bristles through vents, seams, and around button edges to loosen the dust.
  4. Hold the vacuum nozzle right next to the brush to capture the dust as it is lifted.

Cleaning with a product

  1. Spray the interior cleaner or leather cleaner onto the brush rather than directly onto the surface.
  2. Agitate the area with small circular movements, without pressing.
  3. Wipe immediately with a clean microfiber cloth before the product dries.
  4. Repeat on the next area and switch to a clean side of the microfiber as soon as it is loaded.

Good to know

Set aside one brush for the dirtiest areas, such as seat rails, and keep the others for visible surfaces: you will avoid transferring grime onto clean plastic. Rinse the bristles with lukewarm water after use, then let the brushes dry, bristles facing down, so they keep their shape.
