Extreme Bodywash and Wax is Chemical Guys’ 2-in-1 shampoo: it cleans the bodywork and lays down a layer of wax during the same wash. It is aimed at motorists who want to maintain their car without following up a shampoo session with a wax session, and it works just as well with a bucket as with a foam cannon.
A shampoo and a wax in the same bottle
The formula combines, with the cleaning agents, natural carnauba wax and synthetic waxes. While the foam lifts dust, road film and road grime, the waxes deposit on the clear coat and help reinforce the wax or sealant already applied to the vehicle. The maintenance wash therefore also becomes a top-up of the protection.
A lubricating foam that preserves the clear coat
The product generates a thick, slick foam. This lubrication allows the wash mitt to let abrasive particles glide instead of dragging them across the paint, which limits micro-scratches and swirls visible in the sun.

Instructions for use of Extreme Bodywash and Wax Chemical Guys wax shampoo
Extreme Bodywash and Wax is always used diluted in water, never undiluted on the bodywork. The recommended dosage by Chemical Guys varies depending on whether you wash with a bucket or with a foam cannon.
Bucket wash
- Shake the bottle before use.
- Rinse the car with clean water to remove most of the dust and sand.
- Pour 30 to 90 ml of product into a 19-liter bucket, then fill with water to build up the foam.
- Wash panel by panel with a clean wash mitt, from top to bottom.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Dry with a microfiber to avoid limescale marks.
Foam cannon wash
- Pour 30 to 90 ml of product into the 950 ml tank of the foam cannon or foam gun.
- Top up with water and shake gently.
- Cover the vehicle with foam and let it work for a few moments.
- Use the wash mitt if the bodywork is dirty, then rinse and dry.
Precautions
- Work in the shade, on cool bodywork.
- Never let the product dry on the paint or windows.
- Rinse the mitt regularly so you don’t bring grit back onto the clear coat.
- Close the bottle after use and keep it out of reach of children.
