Diablo Chemical Guys gel wheel cleaner 473 ml

Diablo is Chemical Guys' gel wheel cleaner: its oxygen-infused foam clings to the surface and lifts brake dust without damaging finishes. pH-neutral and non-caustic formula, 473 ml bottle.

Diablo Chemical Guys gel wheel cleaner: brake dust gently removed
The Diablo gel wheel cleaner from Chemical Guys is a detailing product designed to loosen brake dust and embedded road grime on wheels. Its gel texture and oxygen-infused foam keep the product in place on vertical surfaces while it works, instead of immediately running down the wheel.
A pH-neutral formula to preserve finishes
Diablo is based on a pH-neutral, non-caustic formula. It dissolves grime without corroding or dulling the original finish, making it usable on both OEM wheels and aftermarket wheels.
- Aluminum wheels
- Stainless steel and metal parts
- Painted and powder-coated wheels
- Matte finishes
What the gel removes
Brake dust is an abrasive mixture of pad particles and cast iron that becomes embedded in the wheel’s clear coat. The longer it stays in place, the more it marks the surface.
- Brake dust on the face and inside of the wheel
- Road dirt and greasy splatter
- Deposits present on tires, calipers, and suspension components
Intended uses
This cleaner is aimed at motorists who maintain their wheels regularly, as well as detailers who handle very dirty vehicles. It is used on cars, vans, SUVs, and motorcycles, for routine washing as well as for restoration before applying a wheel protection.
Capacity and format
This 473 ml bottle corresponds to the concentrated gel version of Diablo, to be decanted into a sprayer for application. Chemical Guys also offers a one-gallon format for intensive use.
Instructions for use of Diablo Chemical Guys gel wheel cleaner
Diablo is used on cool rims, preferably in the shade. A hot surface makes the product dry too quickly and leaves marks when rinsing. Have a rim brush, a fine brush for the spokes, and a drying microfiber ready before you start.
Routine wheel cleaning
- Rinse the wheels with a hose to remove non-adhering dirt and soften deposits.
- Spray Diablo on the rims, tires, brakes, and dirty suspension components.
- Leave it to work for a few minutes, while the gel loosens brake dust.
- Agitate the dirt with a rim brush, without forcing.
- Rinse thoroughly with a hose, then dry the rim with a microfiber.
Very dirty wheels
- Work wheel by wheel to prevent the product from drying on the surface.
- Focus with the brush on the inside of the rim and around the spokes, where brake dust accumulates.
- Repeat the application if deposits remain, rather than extending the dwell time.
- Finish with a complete rinse of the wheel well to flush out residues.
Good to know
This format is a concentrated gel: decant it into a sprayer and follow the dilution instructions shown on the bottle label. Cleaning the rims at the beginning of the wash prevents re-soiling bodywork that is already clean.
Precautions
Test the product on a small, inconspicuous area before first use, especially on a matte finish or a repainted rim. Never apply to hot rims after a drive and always rinse completely before drying. Keep the bottle closed, out of reach of children.
