It draws the shampoo contained in its reservoir, mixes it with pressurized water, and sprays a dense foam onto the bodywork. Its role is to loosen dirt before any contact with a wash mitt, and therefore to limit micro-scratches.
What foam pre-wash is for
During a traditional wash, the mitt rubs bodywork that is still loaded with dust, sand, and road residue. These particles behave like an abrasive and leave micro-scratches visible in the sun. Pre-wash reverses the logic: the foam envelops the dirt, softens it, and carries it downward during the dwell time. Rinsing then removes most of the deposits, and manual washing only deals with the residual film.

Instructions for use of the Access foam cannon
The Access foam cannon mounts in a few seconds onto the gun of your Kärcher K series. The result depends mainly on two parameters: the shampoo chosen and соблюдение the dwell time. Here is the procedure to follow.
Prepare and mount the cannon
- Rinse the car with clean water to remove the sand and the coarsest gravel.
- Fill the tank with foaming shampoo, diluted according to the product manufacturer’s instructions.
- Screw the tank onto the cannon body, then fit the Kärcher K series adapter onto the gun outlet until it clicks.
Apply the foam and rinse
- Start the cleaner and spray the foam from bottom to top, panel by panel, until the entire bodywork is covered.
- Let it act for a few minutes, without ever letting it dry: the foam must remain wet to keep working.
- Rinse from top to bottom with clean water, focusing on the rocker panels and the wheel arches.
- Follow up, if needed, with a two-bucket hand wash, then drying.
Precautions and maintenance
- Reserve the cannon for products intended for bodywork: degreasers, strippers and solvents can attack the clear coat and seals.
- Avoid full sun and hot surfaces: the foam dries too quickly there and leaves marks.
- After each use, run a tank of clean water through the cannon to rinse the circuit.
- Store the cannon, tank empty, and protected from frost.
