All about LED lighting for MAN TGX
The MAN TGX is a high-end heavy truck produced since 2007, widely used for long-distance transport in Europe. Switching to LED lighting on this truck significantly improves night-time visibility and safety, a major issue for professional drivers.
For the low beam headlights, the TGX comes in three configurations depending on the version: H7 in halogen headlamp, D2R in xenon with a metal bumper, or D1R in xenon with a plastic bumper. The high beam headlights use the H7 base, whether in halogen or xenon version. The front fog lights operate in H4, and the TGX also has cornering lights in H3 on versions with a plastic bumper.
On the signalling side, the front turn signals are available in PY21W (white lens) or P21W (yellow lens). The front sidelights are W5W and the license plate light is R5W. The TGX is also equipped with daytime running lights in H21W, clearance lights in W5W, and an additional front headlamp in H4.
As the MAN TGX operates on 24V, it is essential to choose LED bulbs specifically designed for 24 volts. CANbus-compatible LED kits are also recommended to avoid errors on the dashboard.
