Polish Extreme V32 Chemical Guys: the most abrasive compound in the V range
The V32 Optical Grade Extreme Compound is step 1 of the four-step correction system from Chemical Guys. It is the most aggressive compound in the V range: it removes deep scratches, heavy swirls, oxidation, and 1200 to 1500-grit sanding marks in two to three passes, including on hard paints and scratch-resistant ceramic clear coats.
What V32 corrects
- Deep scratches and micro-scratches visible in direct light
- Swirls and holograms left by a previous polishing
- Oxidation and dull haze on older paints
- 1200 to 1500-grit sanding marks after touch-up or repair
- Polycarbonate headlight lenses that are heavily yellowed or pitted
- Dulled painted or clear-coated wheels
A water-based formula, with no masking fillers
V32 combines optical-grade micro-abrasives with a highly lubricated water base. No silicone or filling agents: what you see after wiping corresponds to the true condition of the clear coat, with no masking effect that disappears at the first wash. The product stays workable for a long time, dusts very little, and wipes off without greasy residue. It works just as well with a dual-action (DA) polisher as with a rotary.
Which polish to choose in the V range?
- V32 Extreme — step 1, maximum cut. Heavy defects, hard paints, 1200-1500 sanding marks
- V36 Medium — step 3, medium cut. Swirls, light scratches, 2000-2500 marks. Can be used alone in a one-step
- V38 Finish — step 4, finishing. Removes compound marks and holograms for a mirror finish
Since V32 is very aggressive, it always leaves fine cutting marks: follow up with V36 then V38 to restore maximum gloss.
Instructions for use of Extreme Polish V32
Work on a washed, decontaminated, and cool bodywork, in the shade, in 40 x 40 cm sections. Shake the bottle before each use.
With a dual action (DA) orbital polisher
- Apply 4 to 5 drops of V32 onto a cutting pad.
- Spray 1 to 3 sprays of Pad Conditioner Chemical Guys to prime the pad.
- Spread the product at speed 1, without applying pressure.
- Work at speed 5 to 6, with moderate pressure, making 2 to 3 cross passes, until the clear coat becomes clear again.
- Finish the last pass with light pressure, then wipe with a clean microfiber.
With a rotary polisher
- Apply 4 to 5 drops onto the pad and prime it with the Pad Conditioner.
- Spread the product between 1 000 and 1 500 rpm.
- Work the area at a maximum of 1 500 rpm, crossing the passes and without letting the product dry.
- Wipe with a microfiber, then check the result with a detailing lamp.
Good to know
Never work in direct sunlight or on hot sheet metal. Change the microfiber as soon as it becomes loaded with residue and clean the pad every two or three sections in order to maintain cutting power.
