HB3 (9005) halogen bulb – 60 W

The HB3 (9005) halogen bulb is used for high beams on many Japanese and American vehicles. It operates at 12V with a power of 60W. The HB3 (also called 9005) equips the high beams on Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Ford and GM. Its P20d quarter-turn base is easily recognizable. Access the rear of the headlight, disconnect the connector, remove the cover and the fastening system. Take out the used bulb and insert the new HB3 (9005) without touching the glass with your fingers. Reassemble and check operation. The operation takes 10 to 20 minutes. Depending on the reference, the HB3 (9005) bulb may exist in a standard version (identical replacement), long life (reinforced filament, increased lifespan), high performance (+100%, +130% lumens) and white xenon effect (5000K-6000K). The standard HB3 (9005) bulb lasts on average 500 to 800 hours. Long-life versions reach 1200 to 1500 hours. Lifespan depends on vibrations, the number of switching-on cycles, and the quality of the electrical circuit.
