H9 halogen bulb – 65W high brightness

The H9 halogen bulb is used for high-brightness high beams on recent vehicles. It operates at 12V with a power of 65W. It is a high-power version of the H11, with a similar base, but not interchangeable. It is found on some Ford, Opel and Mazda. Access the rear of the headlight, unplug the connector, remove the cover and the fastening system. Take out the used bulb and insert the new H9 without touching the glass with your fingers. Reassemble and check operation. The operation takes 10 to 20 minutes. Change both sides for uniform lighting. AGM Vision provides technical data sheets with instructions by vehicle.

Depending on the reference, the H9 bulb may exist in a standard version (identical replacement), long life (reinforced filament, increased service life), high performance (+100%, +130% lumens) and white xenon effect (5000K-6000K). The standard H9 bulb lasts on average 500 to 800 hours. Long-life versions reach 1200 to 1500 hours. Lifespan depends on vibrations, the number of switching-on cycles, and the quality of the electrical circuit. Standard H9 and xenon effect bulbs bearing the ECE marking are road-approved and pass the technical inspection. High-power versions that do not comply with the original wattage are not approved.
