H7 halogen bulb – 55W

The H7 halogen bulb is used for dipped headlights and high beams on the majority of modern vehicles. It operates at 12V with a power of 55W. It is the best-selling halogen bulb in the world. It has gradually replaced the H4 on vehicles with separate optics. Check the reference on your original bulb or in the maintenance booklet. Replacing an H7 is accessible to everyone. Access the rear of the headlamp from the engine compartment, disconnect the electrical connector, remove the cover and the fastening system. Take out the worn bulb and insert the new one without touching the quartz glass. Reassemble in the reverse order. The operation takes 10 to 20 minutes per side. Yes, the H7 xenon effect bulb produces a white light between 5000K and 6000K thanks to a treated bluish glass. It keeps the same base, the same power and remains ECE approved. The rendering is more modern than the standard version at 3200K. The slight loss of brightness is offset by better night-time visual comfort. Standard H7 bulbs are designed for 12V (cars, motorcycles, light commercial vehicles). 24V versions exist for heavy goods vehicles and trucks, but they are separate references.
