H15 24V truck LED bulb – dual function DRL & high beam

The H15 LED 24V bulb is a dual-filament bulb designed for 24-volt vehicles (heavy goods vehicles, trucks, buses). It replaces the original halogen in combined high beam and daytime running lights (DRL). The H15 bulb (PGJ23t-1 base) combines high beam and daytime running lights in the same base. It is used on recent trucks equipped with integrated DRLs. The LED version delivers between 4,000 and 6,000 lumens, i.e. up to 3 times more than halogen, with reduced consumption of 70 to 80%. Replacing an H15 halogen with a 24V LED is done in a few simple steps. Switch off the vehicle ignition, access the headlamp from the rear and unlock the original bulb. Insert the H15 LED while respecting the base orientation, then lock it. Turn on the lights to check the beam orientation: the LED chips must be positioned horizontally to ensure a correct cut-off. If the beam is poorly oriented, rotate the bulb 180°. The operation takes 15 to 30 minutes per side, without special tools in most cases.

Yes, provided that your vehicle does indeed use the original H15 base. Check the available space behind the headlight, as the heat sink may add 1 to 3 cm of depth. On trucks with a CAN bus, a 24V anti-error module may be required. The color temperature determines the hue of the light emitted by your H15 LED 24V. Pure white (6 000 K) is the most popular: it offers excellent contrast and improves distance perception at night. Warm white (4 300 K) is closer to halogen and penetrates fog and rain better. Cool white (6 500 K) gives a more modern look, but can tire the eyes on long journeys. For professional use in heavy trucks, AGM Vision recommends 5 500 K to 6 000 K, which offers the best compromise between visibility, comfort and aesthetics.

A quality H15 LED 24V bulb offers a lifespan of 30,000 to 50,000 hours, compared with about 1,000 hours for a standard halogen. This potentially represents several years of intensive use without replacement, even for a truck driving at night every day. This longevity is explained by the absence of a filament and by the integrated heat sink, which dissipates heat.
