All our PCY16W LED Bulbs

The PCY16W is a 16-watt orange wedge bulb format, used for the rear turn signals of certain high-end vehicles. The orange PCY16W Supreme LED bulb offers responsive LED flashing, as a direct replacement.

The PCY16W is a specific base that is found mainly on the rear turn signals of certain BMW, Audi and Mercedes models. It is an uncommon format, but essential for these vehicles. Check the marking on the original bulb.

The replacement is straightforward: access the rear light block, turn the turn signal socket a quarter turn, remove the halogen bulb and insert the PCY16W LED. On vehicles with CANbus, an anti-error module or a resistor may be necessary to avoid hyper-flash.

As with all LED turn signals, a hyper-flash (rapid flashing) may occur, because the LED consumes less than the original 16W halogen. Add a load resistor or an anti-hyper-flash module to restore the normal flashing frequency.

The PCY16W is a 16W wedge push-in base, specific to certain premium vehicles, while the PY21W is a 21W BAU15S bayonet base, much more common. Both are used for turn signals, but are absolutely not interchangeable.

The PCY16W Supreme is compatible with all vehicles using the standard PCY16W base. Check that the space in the headlight housing is sufficient to accommodate the LED, which may be slightly longer than the original halogen.
