Headlight restoration: safety and aesthetics
Yellowed or scratched headlights will have direct consequences on the quality of lighting and therefore your safety. The older among us remember when headlights were made of glass, but for reasons of safety, durability, and also cost-effectiveness, manufacturers opted in the 80s for polycarbonate. Indeed, this extremely strong plastic has its advantages. The downside: it tends to deteriorate quickly because the plastic film on its surface is very sensitive to ultraviolet rays and bad weather. Also, it scratches easily during cleaning and daily use.
