MICROSTAR®: new high-performance abrasive film for high-quality finishing
Microstar, the brand new abrasive film from Mirka, is designed for matting and rectifying lacquers and varnishes. It is ideal for micro-rectifications of soft or fresh varnishes. What makes Microstar unique is its flexible film backing covered with aluminium oxide grains and its stearate powdering serving as a protective top layer. Microstar benefits from an extended lifespan and high resistance to clogging. Microstar is intended for dry sanding operations.

Automotive preparation and rectification:
P800–P1000
Fast and perfect sanding on original varnishes. Gentle sanding on contours and edges.
P1000–P3000
Excellent resistance to clogging, fine and regular scratches on recoated finish layers and fresh gelcoats.
Polishing
For a homogeneous finish, polish with buffing compounds.
Use Microstar with a 5 mm interface to be less aggressive on fresh or soft paints.
