Abralon® – Sanding of rounded surfaces, angles and sharp edges
Abralon is a unique and multifunctional abrasive, developed to tackle both flat and contoured surfaces. Its patented, flexible structure allows for consistent sanding on surfaces and angular edges, while reducing the risk of marks caused by excessive pressure. The open cells allow water to be trapped in the Abralon during sanding. The water is not expelled, thus reducing the amount of liquid used. Whatever the irregularities of the item to be sanded, this foam ensures uniform superficial pressure of the abrasive fabric. This prevents the abrasive from piercing the lacquered layer, especially on sharp angles and curves.
Applications:
Ideal abrasive for sanding and working on substrates, suitable for all surfaces: new or old lacquers, plastics, primers or polyester fillers. Abralon is used for surface preparation, either as a preliminary treatment before painting or lacquering, for removing oxides, or to improve their visual appearance. Abralon is mainly used for wet sanding, but can also be used dry for more intensive sanding.
