Side LED lighting – motorhome, pickup & long vehicles

Side LED lighting fulfills two essential functions. First, it serves as a clearance light to signal the presence and length of your vehicle to other road users, which is mandatory on vehicles over 6 meters in France. Second, it lights up the side area around the vehicle to make night maneuvers, parking, and access to the motorhome in the dark easier. With an extra-wide 110° beam, our models effectively cover the sides of the vehicle.

In France, side marker lights are mandatory on vehicles over 6 meters long, which includes most integrated motorhomes and coachbuilt models. They must be visible at night and indicated in white at the front, orange on the sides and red at the rear. Our side LED lights comply with these requirements and replace conventional bulbs, with a much longer service life and reduced power consumption: an advantage for motorhome living-area batteries.

The choice between 10 cm and 20 cm depends on the size of your vehicle and the desired lighting intensity. The 10 cm (20W, 1 300 lumens) model is compact and discreet, ideal for pick-ups, vans, or as an additional signaling complement on a small motorhome. The 20 cm (42W, 2 600 lumens) model offers more powerful light coverage, suitable for integrated motorhomes, heavy goods vehicles, and large vehicles requiring substantial side lighting.

Installing side LED lighting is relatively simple. The headlights are mounted on the side of the vehicle using screws or the supplied brackets. The wiring connects to the motorhome’s 12V electrical circuit (or 24V for a heavy vehicle), ideally via a dedicated switch or in parallel with the sidelights. The elongated shape of the headlight follows the vehicle’s side profile for an aesthetic result. Remember to maintain symmetry by installing lighting on each side of the vehicle.

The aluminum housing resists corrosion, and the polycarbonate lens withstands light impacts. They are also UV resistant, which prevents the lens from yellowing over time. High-pressure washing is not a problem, which is essential for the regular maintenance of a motorhome.
