The installation of the H7 adapter varies depending on the vehicle. In general, first remove the original halogen bulb and its fastening system. Place the adapter in the housing by aligning the locking tabs. Insert the xenon bulb into the adapter and lock the assembly. On some vehicles (BMW), the adapter clips onto the original bulb holder. An unsuitable adapter can indeed cause problems. If the bulb is not properly held in place, it can vibrate and rub against the reflector, gradually damaging it. Poor positioning of the light source can concentrate heat on a specific area of the polycarbonate optic, causing yellowing or deformation. In addition, a poorly aimed beam dazzles other road users.
