All our D1S/D1R LED Bulbs and D1S/D1R LED Kits

The D1S is a xenon (HID) bulb used for low beam and high beam in projector headlights. Switching to LED makes it possible to remove the original xenon ballast and obtain instant ignition. Our best-seller, the SMART V2 D1S, directly replaces the xenon bulb, without modification.

The D1S is designed for lens (projector) headlights, while the D1R is intended for reflector headlights. Our D1S/D1R LED kits are compatible with both formats thanks to a universal design. The SMART V2 kit fits both types of optics equally.

Yes, it’s even one of the main advantages. The D1S LED plugs directly into the original connector and includes its own driver, which makes the xenon ballast inactive. Ignition becomes instantaneous (no more warm-up time), consumption decreases and lifespan increases considerably.

No, it is not necessary to remove the ballast. Our D1S LED bulbs plug directly into the connector of the existing ballast. The ballast stays in place, but is no longer used. The SMART V2 is plug-and-play and requires no modification to the wiring harness.

The SMART V2 is our best-seller thanks to its compact format and its extended compatibility. For extreme power, the THALLIUM Extreme Conversion offers competition lighting, with a significantly higher luminous flux.

Yes, our D1S LED bulbs include a CANbus-compatible driver in order to avoid errors on the dashboard. The SMART V2 works without error on the vast majority of vehicles equipped with original D1S xenon.
