Load resistors for LED bulbs: 6 to 470 ohms
Load resistors are essential components when replacing halogen bulbs with LEDs on certain vehicles. Indeed, the very low power consumption of LED bulbs can be detected by the vehicle’s electrical system as a burnt-out bulb, causing error messages on the dashboard or hyper-flashing of the turn signals. Load resistors simulate the consumption of a halogen bulb in order to solve these problems.
Our range of resistors covers the most common values, from 6 Ohms to 470 Ohms, in order to adapt to all configurations. 6 Ohms 50W resistors are the most commonly used for LED turn signals, while higher values are suitable for position lights and other applications requiring a lower load. Each resistor is supplied with the necessary connectors for easy installation.
Installing a load resistor is done in parallel with the LED bulb, on the relevant electrical circuit. It is important to secure the resistor to a metal surface, as it gives off heat during operation. Our resistors are equipped with aluminum heat sinks for optimal heat dissipation and maximum safety.
