LED bulbs and kits 881 H27W/2

The 881 bulb (also called H27W/2 or 886) is a 90° angled base format used mainly for fog lights on Asian vehicles (Hyundai, Kia, Ssangyong) and certain American models. The 881 SMART LED kit provides powerful white lighting as a direct replacement.

The two bulbs look alike, but the 880 (H27W/1) has a straight base, while the 881 (H27W/2) has a 90° angled base. They are not interchangeable. Check the orientation of the base on your original bulb to choose the right model.

The 881 base is very common on the fog lights of Hyundai vehicles (Tucson, i30, Santa Fe), Kia (Sportage, Ceed) and Ssangyong. It is also found on a few Chevrolet and Dodge models. Check the “881” or “H27W/2” marking on the original bulb.

The SMART 881 kit is designed to be compatible with most vehicles without generating an error. On some recent models, equipped with a very sensitive bulb detection system, an anti-error module can be added as an extra.

Access the fog light from underneath the bumper or through the wheel well. Turn the socket a quarter turn to remove it, unplug the halogen and plug in the 881 LED in its place. The connector is identical. The operation takes 10 to 15 minutes per side.
