Yellow microfiber for interior Chemical Guys: gentle wiping of the cabin
The yellow Chemical Guys microfiber is a detailing towel dedicated to cleaning the vehicle’s interior: dashboard, door panels, center console, and steering wheel. Designed for professional detailers as well as demanding individuals, it wipes plastics and delicate cabin surfaces without leaving scratches or lint.
A soft and absorbent 70/30 weave
This towel is made from a blend of polyester and polyamide in a 70/30 ratio, the benchmark for detailing microfibers. The fibers trap dust and dirt within the fabric instead of dragging them across the surface, which greatly reduces the risk of micro-scratches. The microfiber remains soft after many machine wash and dry cycles, provided it is properly cared for.
Its everyday advantages
- Square format of about 40 x 40 cm, easy to fold into four to use each side
- Overlocked edges so as not to mark delicate surfaces
- High absorption capacity for liquids and dust
- Softness suited to the dashboard, door panels, and steering wheel
- Reusable and machine washable
The Chemical Guys color code
Chemical Guys assigns a color to each area of the vehicle in order to avoid any cross-contamination. Yellow is reserved for the interior, while the blue microfiber is dedicated to windows and the black microfiber to dirty areas, such as the engine bay. By assigning each color to a specific use, you avoid transferring a greasy or abrasive residue onto a fragile cabin surface.
Instructions for use of the yellow microfiber for interior Chemical Guys
To get the most out of your yellow microfiber, reserve it exclusively for the inside of the vehicle and maintain it properly: a well-washed microfiber retains its softness and absorbency for many uses.
Cleaning the interior
- First dust the surfaces to remove the largest particles.
- Spray your interior cleaner onto the microfiber rather than directly onto the plastics.
- Fold the towel into four, then wipe the dashboard, door panels, and steering wheel.
- Change sides as soon as the microfiber is saturated, then use a clean, dry side for finishing.
Washing and drying the microfiber
- Machine-wash the towel, separately from other textiles, with a detergent suitable for microfibers.
- Never use fabric softener, which clogs the fibers and reduces absorption.
- Tumble-dry on low heat, without a dryer sheet.
Good to know
Reserve each microfiber color for a single area of the vehicle: yellow for the interior, blue for the windows, black for the dirtiest areas, such as the engine compartment. This will prevent you from depositing greasy or abrasive residues on the delicate surfaces of the interior.
