A road-approved H7 LED bulb is an LED bulb tested and approved by the authorities for legal use on public roads. Approval guarantees that the bulb meets strict standards for light performance, safety, and anti-glare: the beam is properly cut off and does not bother oncoming drivers. It makes it possible to enjoy LED technology, which is more durable and more efficient than halogen, while remaining compliant with road legislation.
By default, replacing an H7 halogen bulb with a so-called “retrofit” LED is not road-approved: these bulbs are reserved for off-road use (competition, private land). However, there is a regulated exception: France has issued a national approval (reference TP LED 21072) for certain LED bulbs, including the Philips Ultinon Pro6000 / Pro6001 with H7 and H4 bases.
Three conditions must be met to drive fully legally:
The LED bulb market continues to improve, and Philips offers its latest innovation: the Philips H7 Ultinon Pro6000 Boost LED, an approved bulb that delivers even more impressive performance. AGM Vision is proud to offer this bulb, designed to provide increased brightness and simplified installation. Motorcyclists are not forgotten with the Ultinon Pro6000 Boost road-approved H7 LED for motorcycles version.

Thanks to a more compact design, the Philips Ultinon Pro6000 Boost H7 LED reduces bulk by 30% compared to the previous model. This improvement makes installation easier, especially in the tightest headlamp housings of modern vehicles.
In terms of performance, it produces up to 300% more brightness compared to a standard halogen (versus 230% previously), with a white light of ± 5800 K, close to daylight. The beam remains precise and non-dazzling for other road users.
With a road-approved H7 LED bulb correctly installed on a compatible vehicle, the vehicle inspection goes normally: keep the certificate on board and the approval sticker affixed. Conversely, a non-approved retrofit LED fitted in a headlamp designed for halogen can be flagged during the vehicle inspection and during a roadside check. This is why AGM Vision clearly indicates on each product page whether the bulb is road-approved or reserved for off-road use.
Consult the Philips compatibility list for France: it lists, brand by brand, the models and years covered by the approval, and specifies whether an adapter is necessary. Philips regularly expands this list with new vehicle models. Check it before any purchase: the approval is valid only for the listed vehicles.
If your vehicle is not covered, you cannot benefit from road approval in H7 LED. This does not mean giving up better lighting: AGM Vision offers a wide range of H7 LED bulbs offering superior performance and excellent compatibility (including projector headlights and German vehicles), for off-road use, as well as H7 LED motorcycle bulbs. In addition to H7, Philips also offers H1 and H4 bases in the Pro6000 Boost range.
AGM Vision guarantees product authenticity thanks to a direct partnership with Philips. Each bulb comes with its approval sticker, essential during the vehicle inspection or a roadside check, and our experts can verify your vehicle’s compatibility before purchase. If you are looking for an LED that is both high-performing, compact, and easy to install, the Philips Ultinon Pro6000 Boost range is made for you — and, for non-compatible vehicles, our H7 LED kits offer powerful and reliable solutions for all types of headlights.
