All our PY21W BAU15S 1156 LED Bulbs

The PY21W is a BAU15S bayonet-base bulb with an offset locating pin, designed mainly for turn signals. The “Y” means “Yellow” (orange), because the original halogen bulb is tinted orange. In LED, our ULTRA CLIGNO is our best-selling model, with powerful orange lighting and no hyper-flash.

Our flagship models integrate a CANbus resistor that prevents hyper-flash without requiring an external resistor. The ULTRA CLIGNO and the VORTEK MAX operate at the correct flashing frequency on the vast majority of vehicles.

The BAU15S (PY21W) base has offset pins at 150°, while the BA15S (P21W) has symmetrical pins at 180°. This keying difference prevents fitting a white bulb in place of an orange one, and vice versa. Check the base type of your original bulb before ordering.

Installation is plug-and-play: remove the halogen bulb with a quarter turn and insert the PY21W LED by aligning the offset lugs of the BAU15S base. Replacement takes less than 5 minutes. The ULTRA CLIGNO fits without any modification to all standard BAU15S holders.

Chrome Effect technology uses a chrome coating on the bulb that masks the orange tint when the turn signal is off, for an aesthetic white look in the lens. When the LED lights up, the light passes through the chrome and remains perfectly orange. Our Chrome Effect PY21W is highly praised for clear lenses.
